Community Support

See the Light deeply cares for the community and those who are in it. Children and their caretakers are valuable people in our community. We have a heart that wants to support families and those who have foster care & adoption as a part of their stories. We know there are different challenges that arise when children have come from a hard place. Our hope is to walk alongside of parents & kids to help lessen the difficult logistics and feelings that can be present at times. Take a look below at the ways in which See the Light can help support you or someone you know.

Get Involved

Foster Care & Adoption Group

Life as a foster or adoptive parent can become overwhelming at times. We all can use connection with people who understand and have experienced some of the same things or feelings. This is a safe space to share and encourage one another in your journey. This group meets monthly and childcare is provided.

Homework Help for Families

Many times basic day-to-day functioning can be difficult. Adding homework and studying can add stress. See the Light volunteers want to help parents by assisting their children in their studies. This homework help time will happen once a week on Tuesday afternoons at YAIPAK from 3:30-5:30pm. A snack will be provided, so drop off and pick up your child(red) as needed.

Christian Care Coaching

Life has both great times and hard times. We all need someone to talk to, listen to us, and help give perspective throughout our lives. Counseling and therapy can be very expensive, and many families do not have access to good Christian resources for these things.  See the Light christian care coaches are trusted individuals that can help support people as they navigate life and live out their purpose. If you are interested in this coaching, please reach out to us, and we will see if this support is a good fit for you, your child, or your family.
